Create Chart of Accounts

In Devize, the Chart of Accounts is a structured list of all financial accounts used in your business to categorize transactions. It includes assets, liabilities, income, and expenses, helping you track and manage your company’s financial health. Each account serves a specific purpose, such as recording sales revenue, tracking outstanding debts, or monitoring business expenditures
Create a Chart of Accounts

Follow these steps to add a new entry to the Chart of Accounts:
- Navigate to the Chart of Accounts page: From the left sidebar, select Accounting , then click on Chart of Accounts to access the list of accounts. This page allows users to add or edit account records.
- Open the Add Account form: Click the Add button at the top to open the form.
- Fill in the required details: Provide the necessary account details, such as Name , Code , and Type . These fields categorize and track financial transactions effectively.
- Save the account entry: Click Submit to save the entry or Cancel to discard changes.
Name | Description |
---|---|
Name | The name of the account (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable). |
Code | A unique identifier for the account (e.g., 3001, 2001). |
Type | The category of the account (e.g., Asset, Liability, Equity). |
