Create Manual Journal

In Devize, a Manual Journal allows you to record financial transactions that are not automatically captured through invoices, expenses, or payments. It is used for adjustments, corrections, and internal financial entries, ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
Create a Manual Journal

Follow these steps to add a new manual journal entry:
- Navigate to the Manual Journal page: From the left sidebar, select Accounting , then click on Manual Journal to access the list of journals. This page allows users to add or edit account records.
- Redirect to Add journal form: Click the Add button at the top to redirect to the journal form.
- Fill in the required details: Provide the necessary journal details
- Save the journal: Click Save to save
Name | Description |
---|---|
Date | The date of the journal entry. |
Journal | The unique identifier for the journal entry. |
Reference | A reference number for tracking purposes. |
Currency | The currency used in the journal entry. |
Note | Additional details about the journal entry. |
Account | The account to be debited or credited. |
Description | Details about the transaction related to the account. |
Debit | The amount to be debited from the account. |
Credit | The amount to be credited to the account. |
